WHY IT MATTERS
Check out this short video to learn more about education at Grace Orphanage.
Without education, there is no hope for a better life. The children at Grace Orphanage come from a very difficult and traumatic past of war, famine, loss of family and homes.
At Grace Orphanage the children have found a safe, loving home and are working hard at school. We managed to move from a school failure rate of 42% to a 100% pass rate in two years. We have done this by enrolling the children in a good school and supporting their learning with a home teacher who helps the children after school, 5 days per week.
The cost to enroll the children in school works out to $350 per child per year ($35 per month). This includes registration and monthly school fees, school uniforms, books, school supplies, exam fees, project fees, etc.

27 Children in Secondary School

You Can Make A Difference!

You can change a life. You can give hope. Your donation to cover basic school expenses will help the children at Grace Orphanage receive an education that will form an integral part of their path to human dignity and a life of value. It will empower them to contribute to society by starting a business or getting a job that will provide income for a better life for them and their future families.
Because of you, young men and women will be able to support their family, one day read stories to his/her child, read a job posting, apply for a driver’s license, be empowered to vote, read health warning labels on medicine, or start a business. All things not possible without education. Imagine the impact you will have even on the next generation!
In addition to the school fees mentioned above, we also pay for housing, food, clothing, medical supplies, etc. All in, it costs abround $95/month to house a child in Congo.
