Giving Vulnerable Girls A Home

Last Updated on July 24, 2025 by Johann Van Rensburg

Above are 11 girls (ages 4 to 10) currently living on the streets of Uvira, who will be joining the Grace Orphanage family  soon.  At Grace Orphanage they will be given a safe, loving home, nutritious food and a good education to help them develop into their full potential. We are currently in the process of court approvals, health assessments and then supplying basic needs like clothes, hygiene and school supplies. This all costs money and we are inviting you to join us to make this dream a success. Monthly or one time gifts are available and every amount is so appreciated. Help us make a difference!

Learning Centre

The Learning Centre at Grace Orphanage is finally complete and we are so excited that the first 10 women have just started their program (above). The program will improve the women’s reading, teach basic math skills, and after 4 months, add the teaching of business principles. The 12-month program will end with a micro business loan to help each of the women start her own business. The program started two weeks ago and the women are so excited to learn. We are also taking care of their children during lesson time. 5 of these women are fully sponsored by generous donors at $70 per month. We are trusting for 5 more donors to step forward to sponsor the remaining 5 women.

Your Support Changes Lives

We commit to keeping our fundraising expenses to a minimum and will ensure that your donations make it to the children. IWOF is 100% volunteer-run.
